Global Provider of Vendor-Neutral Cloud Computing Training & Certification
Benefits to Cloud Computing Certification

Become Proficient with Vendor-Neutral, Real-World Cloud Computing

The Cloud Certified Professional (CCP) program was developed as a result of comprehensive industry research carried out to clearly identify and define cloud computing technology, models and practices from a vendor-neutral perspective. This research is on-going to stay on top of the evolving cloud computing industry landscape. As a result, all CCP course materials are designed to represent cloud computing from an industry perspective, without bias toward any one vendor platform (yet still in alignment with all major vendor platforms). To ensure this balanced representation, all courses, exams and certification requirements are submitted to an education committee for review during their initial development and subsequent maintenance.

While cloud computing offers tremendous potential to improve and innovate business automation, it also brings with it a series of risks, requirements and considerations that need to be carefully evaluated. Gaining proficiency with cloud computing technologies, models and practices enables organizations and IT professionals to clearly understand and assess the benefits, risks and options of incorporating and working with cloud computing advances. Cloud Certified Professionals are able to utilize the most appropriate and beneficial cloud computing technologies and practices by making educated decisions and by determining the correct measure by which these advances should be utilized.

Because this program is purely vendor-neutral, it is also complementary to many of the vendor-specific courses and certifications. You can supplement the industry-level knowledge gained by this program with specialized training based on the vendor technologies you choose to work with.

Specialize with Role-based Certification Tracks

The CCP curriculum is comprised of 15 course modules and 15 Prometric exams that are organized into 6 certification tracks. The majority of certifications correspond to the most common organizational roles required by cloud computing projects. This allows organizations to target the development of specialized skill-sets to project team members that are being assigned correspondingly specific responsibilities, but of course, any one individual can obtain multiple certifications, thereby qualifying them for a range of cloud computing projects and assignments.

An important aspect of how the curriculum is structured is that all certification tracks share a common foundation of knowledge represented by a set of fundamental course modules that are part of all certification tracks. This guarantees that all Cloud Certified Professionals share a common understanding of essential topics, terminology, and concepts. This also gives those pursuing multiple certifications a head start, as the completion of fundamental exams provides immediate credit that can be applied to gain additional certifications.

Focus on Mature and Proven Parts of the Cloud Computing Industry

The cloud computing industry and marketplace continue to evolve, leading to parts that have become proven and established, while others remain volatile. The CCP program is focused on mature and established parts of the cloud computing industry by covering accepted practices, technologies, models, and strategies. Emerging developments are also highlighted, as appropriate, to ensure coverage of important trends and future considerations. Periodic revisions to the course content and exams ensure that the program remains in synch with the direction of the industry.

Become a Project Ready Cloud Computing Professional

A Cloud Certified Professional is someone who has demonstrated project-ready proficiency. All specialized CCP certifications require the completion of a lab module that require participants to carry out extensive exercises individually and/or in groups. Other courses are supplemented with a variety of hands-on exercises to ensure that key topics covered are constantly reinforced. Each one-day course module has a corresponding Prometric exam, ensuring that as participants progress into a program, they first establish and demonstrate a solid understanding of each major topic area. Final exams require that participants prove the combined proficiency gained by the preceding training. The exam grading criteria is such that participants must exhibit project-ready qualifications to obtain a certification.

Proven expertise in cloud computing is not only valuable for organizations actively working with cloud technologies. As part of the IT mainstream, cloud computing skillsets are becoming an important requirement for IT professionals to have in order to help assess its viability and suitability for any given business automation requirements. In addition, Cloud Certified Professionals can help organizations determine whether it makes sense to even consider cloud technologies and/or to what extent they should be incorporated.
